Software Engineer

Teddy Engel is a software engineer that can bring your software idea to reality.

He has released three Games for iOS and Android operating systems, such as the mining clicker-rpg This Mountain Goes Down and the endless runners Run Ninja Run / Run Yeti.

He was a member of the jury for the King Game Jam 2015, reviewing the submissions from the 12 participating teams and helping the best talent shine out.

He has contributed to a world leading match-3 puzzle game (Farm Heroes Saga), a famous bubble shooter (Bubble Witch Saga 2), three browser-based MMORPGs (Prisonstruggle – 315k players, MusicBattle, Uchronya) and a MMORTS (Xtraticwar).

He contributed to the development of a software in C/C++ with >20 million lines of code, and created two open-source libraries in Lua: Luoop and Loogine.

He has worked in the software industry since 2004, developing a wide range of solutions:

  • Games, in C++, C# (Unity), Lua, PHP
  • Mobile applications, for both iOS and Android operating systems
  • Web applications in PHP and Perl CGI.
  • Desktop solutions, in C, C++, C#
  • Client-server solutions in C, C++, C#, Perl, PHP, Lua

He was also employed as a C / C++ software engineer in a world-leading software publisher in financial risk management, and as a senior technical consultant for a world leader in sustainability software.

He regularly shares his expertise answering community’s questions on Stack Overflow, and writing articles on industry websites, such as Gamasutra.

He has a Master in Computer Science from Epitech since 2008, and has completed a Game Design Certificate with the MITx / MIT Game Lab.
